Attorney José Tomás Ballesteros is a detail-oriented, compassionate, and self-motivated attorney. Not only is he a practice attorney at law and a civil public notary, but he is also admitted in the United States District Court of Puerto Rico, a member of the Federal Bar Association, and a member of the American Bar Association. Attorney Ballesteros’ passion for excellence started a young age, and was particularly highlighted when he joined AIESEC, which is an international, non-governmental, non-profit organization which encourages youth leadership development. He also became a part of a cross-cultural global internship, which allowed him to volunteer and exchange experiences across the globe.
After earning his MBA in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and developing a strong business acumen, Attorney Ballesteros earned his J.D. at the Inter American University of Puerto Rico, School of Law in 2014. His expertise lies in legal analysis and investigation in contracts and obligations, non-disclosure agreements, torts, statutory obligations, constitutional and entertainment law. His career began with Ballesteros Camacho Estudio Jurídico y Consultorio Legal, in which he was able to hone his skills as a critical thinking, empathetic, and skilled lawyer. He proudly upholds a high standard of ethics with each of his cases.
Attorney Ballesteros is passionate about community involvement, and he is a founding member of the Puerto Rico Chapter of the 501st, which is an organization formed for costume enthusiasts who make appearances in children’s hospitals, volunteerism, and fundraising activities. He enjoys reading, film, television, golf, tennis, and collecting film memorabilia. In addition to these pursuits, Attorney Ballesteros is a legal aid law clerk in the legal clinic selective program at the First Instance Court of Bayamon, Puerto Rico--as well as a court-appointed attorney for indigenous people. In addition to these philanthropic and voluntary pursuits, Attorney Ballesteros co-authored the Cyber Law article titled “Alcance de la cobertura de la cuarta enmienda contra registros y allanamientos irrazonables.”
